Joe Mercier is a veteran AV industry professional with over 30 years of experience at Christie Digital Systems, a global leader in high-resolution display technologies. Currently serving as Senior Sales Manager for Central Canada, Joe is known for his strong customer-focused work ethic, supporting Pro AV businesses, premier distributors, and AV consultants across Ontario. 

His extensive career includes roles in consultant relations, service management, and manufacturing supervision—bringing a deep understanding of both the technical and client-facing sides of the industry.

Kaileigh Krysztofiak is a lighting designer, arts manager, and creative leader with a growing international presence in public art and performance. As the founding General Manager of Lights On Stratford, Kaileigh has helped establish the festival as a destination for immersive art. They also manage North American partnerships for Sydney-based studio Amigo & Amigo, supporting cross-border collaborations in public and experiential design.

Kaileigh teaches at the National Theatre School of Canada and Toronto Metropolitan University and is a member of ADC and IATSE Local 659. Their work spans theatre, festivals, and large-scale installations, with collaborations including Stratford Festival, Mirvish, Soulpepper, and others. Kaileigh has been recognized with two Dora Award nominations and Pauline McGibbon Award nominations in 2020 and 2023.

Driven by a love of storytelling and community connection, Kaileigh continues to shape cultural experiences across North America and beyond.

Matt Knischewsky works at Wilfrid Laurier University - Faculty of Music as the new Technical Coordinator Performance Facilities. 

Matt is a highly respected figure in the local music scene, with nearly two decades of audio expertise. He’s the Director of Audio for KW Glee and has played a pivotal role in managing both the Hillside Festival and Riverfest Elora. 

Before his role at WLU Matt provided technical support and design service for the Upper Grand District School Board.

Paul Vroom returned to Horizon in 2021, becoming a key member of our systems commissioning and design team. He also offers training to clients in the diverse markets that Horizon serves.

Paul frequently travels throughout North America as a front of house engineer for live performances, where he skillfully adapts to various systems and set changes on a daily basis.

Doug Ledingham is the Head Electrician at Stratford’s newest stage, The Tom Patterson Theatre.  

Previous to his work at the TPT, Doug enjoyed a career that spanned multiple different roles in the entertainment industry working as a Lighting Technician, Scenic Carpenter, Welder, Automation Operator, Rigger and Stagehand.  Doug’s resume includes work at the Shaw Festival, and work both as a technician and instructor at Brock University in the Dramatic Arts Program.  He is ECTP Certified Arena Rigger, and at one point, an IRATA certified rope access technician (although he’s let that lapse…too many interests, not enough time).    Doug first developed an interest in 3D printing as a hobby (as something to do outside of work).  Perhaps ironically, this hobby became an overriding obsession, and shortly developed to a progressive and exponential degree, as a component firmly integrated work practice.  

An interest in LED applications, has developed alongside his work at the Stratford Festival, as well as work in the inaugural season of Lights on Stratford.    Doug is a member of IATSE Locals 357, 461, 129, and a past president of Local 461 and 357.

Andrew started in the world of pro audio in 2001 by earning his associate’s degree in recording arts from Full Sail University in Winter Park Florida.  

From there Andrew spent 12 years working in the live sound field.  He did everything from coiling cables and pushing boxes to running FOH audio and monitors for rock and roll, opera, ballet and theatre.  

Following his live sound career Andrew transitioned into the systems integration field for a Toronto Integration firm for 6 years.  There he developed his skills in audio, DSP programing, tuning, and networking.  Following his time in integration, Andrew moved to Pro AV distribution as a technical application specialist assisting with designs, support and implementation of audio systems.  His knowledge of networking grew with the need to support and educate fellow industry talent on AVoIP to deliver stable implementations in corporate, live event, and house of worship facilities. In his spare time Andrew enjoys drinking coffee, listening to music, and camping. 

Greg Bride is the Master Electrician and Head of Lighting at the Avon Theatre (Stratford Festival), specializing in repertory theatre and complex lighting systems. With over 25 years in the industry, Greg brings deep expertise in EOS programming, networked lighting, video integration, and production electrics. He’s a certified technician and trainer across multiple platforms, and also works freelance in lighting design, rigging, and systems consulting. When he’s not in the theatre, Greg is likely sailing with his family or building boats in his workshop.

Somewhere in the early 1990’s Carl focused his first projection image.  A super cool, heavy as concrete, Sony SuperBright CRT 3 Gun Projector.  He’s been saddled with the task of focusing projectors and connecting video signals ever since.

After being involved in the industry in various areas (Lighting, Video and Audio) for close to 15 years, Carl took over leadership at Horizon in 2007 and has been part of Horizon's expansive work that ranges from elementary schools to world renowned theatres.
