Meet the Presenters
Joe Mercier
Joe Mercier is a veteran AV industry professional with over 30 years of experience at Christie Digital Systems, a global leader in high-resolution display technologies. Currently serving as Senior Sales Manager for Central Canada, Joe is known for his strong customer-focused work ethic, supporting Pro AV businesses, premier distributors, and AV consultants across Ontario.
His extensive career includes roles in consultant relations, service management, and manufacturing supervision—bringing a deep understanding of both the technical and client-facing sides of the industry.
Kaileigh Krysztofiak
Kaileigh Krysztofiak is a lighting designer, arts manager, and creative leader with a growing international presence in public art and performance. As the founding General Manager of Lights On Stratford, Kaileigh has helped establish the festival as a destination for immersive art. They also manage North American partnerships for Sydney-based studio Amigo & Amigo, supporting cross-border collaborations in public and experiential design.
Kaileigh teaches at the National Theatre School of Canada and Toronto Metropolitan University and is a member of ADC and IATSE Local 659. Their work spans theatre, festivals, and large-scale installations, with collaborations including Stratford Festival, Mirvish, Soulpepper, and others. Kaileigh has been recognized with two Dora Award nominations and Pauline McGibbon Award nominations in 2020 and 2023.
Driven by a love of storytelling and community connection, Kaileigh continues to shape cultural experiences across North America and beyond.
Matt Knischewsky
Matt Knischewsky works at Wilfrid Laurier University - Faculty of Music as the new Technical Coordinator Performance Facilities.
Matt is a highly respected figure in the local music scene, with nearly two decades of audio expertise. He’s the Director of Audio for KW Glee and has played a pivotal role in managing both the Hillside Festival and Riverfest Elora.
Before his role at WLU Matt provided technical support and design service for the Upper Grand District School Board.
Paul Vroom
Paul Vroom returned to Horizon in 2021, becoming a key member of our systems commissioning and design team. He also offers training to clients in the diverse markets that Horizon serves.
Paul frequently travels throughout North America as a front of house engineer for live performances, where he skillfully adapts to various systems and set changes on a daily basis.
