Drums can sound great on their own. But in a live production, getting them to sit properly in the mix can be a different story.

In this Resource Stage seminar, we’ll take a practical look at how to approach miking drums, from simple setups with just a few microphones to more detailed multi-channel configurations.

No matter how much or how little experience you have with live drums, there should be something here you can take back to your next show.

See and hear different miking techniques in action.

Stage lighting technology is evolving fast—and some of the tools changing what’s possible aren’t exactly brand new. They’re just becoming more accessible, practical, and common in theatres, schools and performance spaces of all shapes and sizes.

In this Resource Stage seminar we’ll take a look at four technologies opening up new possibilities for control, connectivity, and creativity:

• DMX over Networks
• Wireless DMX
• Wireless (battery powered) Lighting
• Pixel Lighting Control.

Whether you’re already experimenting with these technologies or just wondering what all the buzz is about, we’ll break down the concepts, explore where they fit, and show how they can take your lighting system to the next level.

In this Resource Stage seminar, we take a practical look at Assistive Listening Systems and how they can help make theatres, churches, and live event spaces more accessible.

Clear sound is essential—but not every audience member experiences it the same way. In this session, we explore both traditional and newer assistive listening technologies, how they work, and what to consider when choosing a system for your space.

Whether you're supporting a performance, service, or event, this seminar offers a helpful starting point for improving clarity and accessibility for your audience.

In this seminar, we’ll walk through the full range of audio monitoring options — from classic stage wedges to wired and wireless in-ears, personal monitor mixers, and even the cutting-edge Klang system.

We’ll compare the strengths and trade-offs of each approach, explore hybrid setups, and share practical tips to help you choose the monitoring solution that fits your team, your stage, and your workflow.

You don’t need a five-camera setup to create engaging, professional-looking video.

In this Resource Stage session, we explore how to make a simple two- or three-camera setup look far more dynamic on video — without adding cost or complexity. Learn practical planning, directing, and camera techniques that help stretch your production value, improve pacing, and add visual interest to your livestreams and recordings. Whether you’re streaming performances, church services, or live events, these tips will help you get more out of the gear you already have.

Whether you’re streaming performances, church services, or live events, you’ll walk away with practical ideas you can use right away.

Things go wrong. It’s what you do next that matters.

We’ll dig into what to do when your screens go black, your RF drops out, your lighting rig stops responding—or some other ghost-in-the-machine shows up 5 minutes before showtime. We'll walk through common-sense strategies for diagnosing and solving problems quickly by looking at some of the shared logic behind audio, video, and lighting systems.

Together, we’ll simulate a few real-world failures and work through how to get things back on track—plus, we’ll throw in a couple of surprise curveballs just to keep it interesting. If you've ever had to fix things fast under pressure, or want to be ready when it happens next, this session is for you.

Does your livestream audio mix always feel like a bit of a let-down compared to the live experience?

You’re not imagining it—and you’re not alone. In this Resource Stage seminar we’ll take a closer look at how different recording and mixing approaches affect your streamed audio, whether it’s live or pre-recorded. We’ll unpack some common challenges, explore practical ways to improve your mix, and share tips for getting better results—regardless of your gear or setup. If you want your church services or events to sound as good online as they do in the room, this seminar is for you.
